Background

Charlie Wade holds a BS and MS in forestry from Virginia Tech, and has over two decades of experience in the forestry profession. His roles have spanned timber procurement, managing land for industrial timberland owners, and developing software applications for the forest industry.

Over the past ten years, Charlie has been operating at the intersection of forest carbon markets, remote sensing, and landowner economics — developing satellite-derived forest inventory models, working directly with landowners on carbon market enrollment, and building the analytical infrastructure that institutional timberland investors use to assess forest value at scale.

Overstory Forestry brings that experience and analytics to individual private landowners in western Virginia.
